At Concilio, our mission is to uplift and protect the well-being of the families we serve. Today, we must address a serious issue impacting our community.
For the first time in our nation’s history, the federal administration is allowing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to lapse during a government shutdown.
This decision puts millions of families at risk, including children, older adults, and working parents who rely on SNAP to put food on the table.
We know many families are worried. We are deeply concerned, too. Food should never be used as a bargaining tool in political negotiations. Our community deserves stability, dignity, and access to basic needs.
