This talk explores and broadens the subject matter discussed in Dorcas Tang’s exhibition, Los Paisanos del Puerto: Portraits of the Chinese diaspora community in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, on view at Taller Puertorriqueño. The talks explore a central theme of the exhibition, the “intersection of Chinese and Latine identities,” and the question that redefines “our definitions of both.” It features viewpoints from the artists Dorcas Tang,  Anne Ishii, the Director of the Asian Arts Initiative, and Aisha Zia Khan, the Director of Twelve Gates.
