En Su Sitio, “In Its Place” Antonio Fiol-Silva: architecture + urbanism marks
10 years at Taller’s permanent home, El Corazón Cultural Center.
El Corazón Cultural Center opened its doors on December 16, 2016, as the new home of Taller
Puertorriqueño (Taller). As the center marks its 10th anniversary, we celebrate with En Su Sitio,
“In Its Place,” an exhibition by the building’s lead architect, Antonio Fiol-Silva, and his firm,
SITIO.
En Su Sitio, “In Its Place,” is an exhibition that reflects on the social role of architecture. In their
work, they show how built environments influence collective life, identity, and storytelling
through models, drawings, and narrative explorations.
The exhibition honors the building's tenth anniversary as an enduring anchor of the
community by reminding us of the power people have to shape and be shaped by their built
environments. This coincides with the 10-year anniversary of SITIO architecture + urbanism.
The exhibition runs from September 11th, 2026, through November 14th, 2026.
With this exhibition, we celebrate both our building’s 10th anniversary and the United States
semiquincentennial through a yearlong initiative: WE WILL NOT HIDE: Hidden Histories,
Collective Voices, and Creative Futures. Featuring dynamic exhibitions and public programs,
the initiative affirms the stories, creativity, and presence of our communities. At a moment
when some seek to narrow representation during this national commemoration, we are
committed to deepening this building’s positive and lasting impact at the heart of Latine
Philadelphia. RSVP HERE
